Latex is widely used for the detection of specific antibodies or antigens in samples. Latex particles are coated with immunogenic molecules (antigens) to detect antibodies in blood or used to identify antigens when coated with specific antibodies.

Porous metal oxide micro- and nanospheres can be used to accelerate various chemical reactions. For example, they can be used in hydrogen production, water purification and air pollution reduction. Battery and energy storage: Porous metal oxide micro- and nanospheres can be used as electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries and other energy storage devices. The high surface area of these materials provides greater energy storage capacity and longer battery life.
